Learn About Our Products

Want to know how we deliver Premium Quality at Affordable Prices? Read about our process below, and you will see the TouCanvas difference.

All of our canvases are created using high-quality digital printing methods. They are digitally printed on premium, cotton/poly blended canvas, using vibrant, durable, and environmentally friendly inks. Then all of our canvases are stretched over finger-jointed pine stretcher bars using a combination of mechanical and hand processes for the finest results. All of our products are made from high-quality materials, handcrafted in our factory in the USA. Our experience ensures that you get museum-quality products that you will enjoy for decades to come.

Images – Every canvas starts with a perfect image

Our team of curators has spent thousands of hours researching and selecting the finest quality images for your prints. We use only professional, high-resolution image files, so that we can provide the highest quality prints for your product.

Printers and Ink – Only the best

We use large format, high-resolution digital printers to create our Giclee quality canvases. The inks are vibrant, durable, and environmentally friendly. Our combination of printers and ink provides outstanding image quality, consistency, UV protection, and durability.

Canvas Material – Best quality and value

We’ve tested many canvas materials and have selected a product that creates outstanding results. We use a premium cotton/polyester blended canvas that is very durable and stretchable. It has an excellent white point, which allows for a very wide color gamut.

Stretcher Frames – We make our own

All of our stretcher frames are made in the USA, by our skilled framers at our corporate facility in Fort Myers, Florida. We use 1.5” deep finger-jointed pine stretcher bars for all gallery wrapped canvases and canvases in floating frames. Canvases for decorative frames are wrapped on 5/8” deep finger-jointed stretcher bars. Finger-jointed wood is strong and stays straight overtime, whereas continuous timber tends to bend over time when hung on a wall. Pine is used because it’s light for hanging on walls, but strong so that it will keep your canvas looking good for decades. The wood is cut by precision, framing miter saws, and then joined using industrial glue and v-nails. Larger frames are braced to be even stronger.

Stretching – A skilled craft

All of our canvases are stretched using state of the art equipment. This ensures that the canvas gets the perfect stretch every time.

Framing – Real wood frames for an upgraded look

Framing your canvas gives it an enhanced look. Choose from 7 different decorative frames or 6 different floating frames. Once again, we make all of our own frames on demand. The frames are cut by precision, framing miter saws, and professionally joined. We attach your frame to your canvas in a variety of ways depending on the size and style of your framed canvas.

Hanging Hardware – You’re gonna love this!

All of our canvases include Beehive Picture Hangers® pre-installed on the frames. Included with every shipment are the simple instructions on how to hang the canvas. Instructions can also be found here.  The Beehive system lets you adjust the frame, up, down, left, right, even diagonally in just seconds! It virtually eliminates excess holes in your wall, and makes hanging canvas an absolute breeze.

Quality Control – Your canvas must earn its TouCanvas brand

Our professional team closely inspects every canvas at each step in the production process. All canvases are checked for color, construction, and several other quality categories. Before your canvas is packaged, it’s given one final inspection to make sure that it’s picture-perfect. Once approved, your canvas gets the TouCanvas logo burned into the back of the frame as our Premium Quality pledge to you.

Packaging and Shipping – Protecting your masterpiece

Careful and proper packaging is an important part of the process. We pack your order with the same precision and care that we do when making your canvas. Your canvas will be wrapped in non-abrasive, shock resistant foam and packaged into boxes that are specifically engineered for the canvas size that you ordered.
